The Health Benefits of Fruit Juice

“An apple a day keeps the doctor away,” is an old saying extolling the health benefits of the fruit juice contained in an apple. I’m sure you’ve heard this saying before and have found that this is not limited to apples but there are many other fruits that you can eat to keep the doctor away. You can even turn these fruits into refreshing juices. You will find that you will enjoy fruit juice benefits including avoiding visits to your physician.

Cleansing

Because of polluted environment and junk food that we take in, our bodies can be filled with toxins that are harmful. Our liver and kidneys work harder to flush these harmful substances but if we eat too much junk, it can take a toll on these vital organs and to our bodies. We need to get rid of unhealthy food replace them with healthy food. Cleansing with healthy fruit juice is one way to do that. Some of the fruits that are good for cleansing are berries and apples. Citrus fruits such as lemons, limes and grapefruits are also great for detoxification. You can juice just one kind of the citrus fruits or mix two or more – any combination will taste good. You may want to add berries and apples to these citrus if it suits your taste. Soon you will be helping your liver and kidneys to do their work.

Weight loss

Eating fruits are healthy for you – but don’t go making pies and desserts out of these fruits. It’s better to eat them fresh or juice them up. Eating them uncooked is better for weight loss. Cancer-fighting fruits include soursop, a green and spiky skin with white and juicy flesh inside; berries such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, black berries and goji berries; and citrus fruits like oranges. As you can see, fruits are very good for your body.

Orange Lemonade

Ingredients:
2 big oranges
¼ of a lemon
1 small apple
½” ginger

Preparation:
1. Peel the oranges and remove the seeds. This will take the bitter taste.
2. Peel the lemons as well. You don’t want bitter juice, right?
3. Cut the apple into 8 pieces.
4. Put all the ingredients in the juicer: oranges, lemons, apples, and ginger.

Watermelon Juice
Summers are for vacations, picnics and watermelons! When you have these juicy red fruits in abundance, take the time to juice them up. It’s obvious that watermelon is good for the hot summers as it hydrates you. It’s sweet but it’s good for you. Did you know that watermelons have other benefits? It can help prevent cancer as it contains lycopene. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, so it’s good when you’re feeling under the weather. It also helps with digestion. Watermelon
2 Limes
Mint leaves

Preparation:
1. Cut up a watermelon and cut them into cubes. Remove the seeds. You will need about 5-6 cups for this recipe.
2. Juice the limes.
3. Get a handful of mint leaves.
4. Mix everything in the juices.
5. Enjoy!
